I am Lisa Berry Blackstock. I began my career in 1990 as an estate administrator, offering patient advocacy work as a courtesy to my senior clients. In 2008 I became a full-time patient advocate after fighting a misdiagnosis and mistreatment for trigeminal neuralgia, a rare nerve disorder which causes electrical shocks to the face. Major brain surgery was required to correct this disorder. That experience resulted in beginning my full-time advocacy practice. I offer in-person and remote accompaniment to physician visits and hospitalizations. I oversee hospital discharges to homes and skilled nursing facilities. Skilled in medical billing negotiation, I have saved clients hundreds of thousands of dollars. Advanced healthcare and life care planning (Last Wills, Revocable Trusts) are offered. Experienced, successful track record with insurance appeals (private, Medicare, and Medi-Caid.) Aid in review and comparison of insurance coverage options.
