~ Accepting New Clients
About My Services:
- Type(s) of Advocacy: Health Care Proxy, Health Management, Medical / Navigational, Older Adult Services
- Years of Experience: 2 1/2 years
I have been a physician assistant for over thirty years with years of experience in oncology and palliative care. I became a certified patient advocate 2 1/2 years ago. I work with clients who have been diagnosed with serious illnesses, especially cancer. I am very involved in working to help people understand Advanced Directives and communicate desires to family members. I am also a Death Doula and volunteer at a local hospice. In addition, I do research on your illness in order to help you make educated, informed decisions. I also accompany clients to doctor’s visits, in person or on Zoom, and help prepare them for the visits in order to maximize the time spent with the provider and meet preset goals. I am compassionate, understanding, and very familiar with the health care system, and will bridge the gap between the client and the provider.
