- Years of Experience: I’ve been a registered nurse since 2006 but have been working in healthcare since 2000. I have seen a wide array of care and experienced from different directions how “Western” medicine is practiced and provided over the years.
Patient advocacy is the foundation of nursing. Doing what’s best for the patient has always been the primary goal and my guide to delivering patient care. In this day and age, with the rate and speed of healthcare advancements and technology development, patient care has evolved to require a level of awareness, knowledge, education, support and reinforcement to meet individual patient needs.
Our current model of medical treatment is most often involuntary; meaning participation is reserved for when we are sick.
My focus and goal for my clients are to encourage and support them in navigating their way out of the “sick-care” model and into a lifestyle designed for their optimum health and longevity.
