Perhaps your child has just received a rare or chronic disease diagnosis and you are in need of a second opinion, or perhaps you are discovering a medical bill is higher than expected and insurance is not covering your costs and care. You may have a need for assistance as you struggle with understanding your child’s treatment recommendations, resources, support services or decision-making. As a parent of a child with a rare disease, I understand the challenges of navigating a diagnosis, obtaining treatment, and a complicated health insurance system. I have personally had to confront and coordinate high-stakes care coordination, high-intensity situations, and research the right specialists while influencing and motivating health care teams. As your private patient advocate, I am a knowledgeable resource to help support you and ensure you have a voice in your child’s care. My focus is to support those who need care coordination, navigation, guidance, contest insurance claims and appeals, among many services.
